ANDREW CHRISTOFIDES

 	Born in Cyprus in 1946. He studied at the
	Chelsea School of Art in London and the University
	of New South Wales, Sydney. He currently
	works as a lecturer at the College of Fine Arts,
	University of New South Wales, Sydney.
	He has held solo exhibitions at the British
	Academy in Rome, House Gallery, London,
	Painters' Gallery, Sydney, Cut Gallery, London,
	Beatty Gallery, Sydney, and Charles Nodrum
	Gallery, Melbourne.

	Andrew Christofides has been included in
	group exhibitions at the British Academy, Rome,
	House Gallery, London, Canterbury College of
	Art, Canterbury, UK, Ivan Dougherty Gallery,
	Sydney, Sherman Galleries, Sydney, Charles Nodrum
	Gallery, Melbourne, and the Powerhouse
	Museum, Sydney.
	
	He has works in the collections of Artbank,

    HEIDI WOOD

	Born in London 1967. She has studied at
	Ecole Nationale Superi-eure des Beaux Arts,
	Paris, Universite de Paris lIl-Censier, Paris, and
	Victoria College, Melbourne. In 1989 she
	undertook a workshop in lithography at
	Centrum Frans Masreel, Belgium, and in 1987
	made a series of lithographs with the Australian
	PrintVVorkshop, Melbourne, with a grant from
	the Queen Elizabeth Silver Jubilee Trust.

	She has held solo exhibitions at CBD Gallery,
	Sydney, Stephen McLaughlan Gallery, Melbourne,
	Australian Embassy in Paris and has exhibited
	regularly with La Galerie Gauche, the exhibting
	space of the Beaux Arts in Paris. She has shown
	in the International Painting Festival at Cagnes-
	sur-Mer, France.
	Heidi Wood is currently living and working
	in France. She is represented by Stephen
	McLaughlan Gallery, Melbourne.


    ANTHONY GALBRAITH

	Born in 1951 in the Philippines, died Sydney
	1996. He studied painting at the City Art Institute
	in Sydney, the New York Studio School,Alexander
	Mackie College and the National Art School, Sydney

	He had several solo exhibitions with Macquarie
	Galleries in Sydney and has been included in group
	shows at the Museum of Modern Art at Heide,
	Orange Regional Gallery, Tamworth Regional
	Gallery and Touchstone Gallery, New York.

	In 1991 Anthony Galbraith was awarded a
	studio at the Cite Internationale des Artes,
	Paris, by the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
	
 	His work is included in a number of prominent
	collections including the Art Gallery of New
	South Wales,Artbank, City of Campbelltown
	Regional Art Gallery, Lake Macquarie Regional
	Art Gallery, State Bank of New South Wales
	and in 1989 he was commissioned to produce a
	carpet design for the Como Hotel, Melbourne.
	
	He is represented in private collections
	throughout Australia, USA and UK.

	Melbourne.


    GEORGE JOHNSON

	Born in 1926 in Nelson, New Zealand, and
	has lived in Australia since 1951.
	
	He studied painting at Wellington Technical
	College, New Zealand, and the Royal Melbourne
	Institute of Technology and has been employed
	as a lecturer in painting at Caulfield Institute of
	Technology, Footscray Technical College, Royal
	Melbourne Institute of Technology and Melbourne
	State College.

	Since 1956 he has held solo exhibitions at a
	number of public and commercial galleries in
	both Australia and New Zealand including Argus
	Gallery, Melbourne, Barry Stern Gallery, Sydney,
	Pinacotheca, Melbourne, Ararat Art Gallery,
	Hamilton Art Gallery, Shepparton Gallery, Ray
	Hughes Gallery, Brisbane, Royal Melbourne
	Institute of Technology Gallery, Rudy Komon
	Gallery, Sydney, Brooker Gallery, Wellington,
	New Zealand, Charles Nodrum Gallery,
	Melbourne, and Coventry Gallery, Sydney.

	He has also been included in group exhibitions
	in Tokyo and in state and regional galleries
	around Australia.

    INGE KING

	Born in Berlin in 1918. She studied sculpture
	in Germany and England, travelled and exhibited
	in Europe and the USA, and settled in Australia
	in 1951. Until recently she lectured in sculpture
	at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

	Inge King has held solo exhibitions at London
	Gatlery, Brook Street, London, Powell Street
	Gallery, Melbourne, Realities Gallery, Melbourne,
	Coventry Gallery, Sydney, Victor Mace Gallery,
	Brisbane, Bonython-Meadmore Gallery, Adelaide
	and Sydney, Melbourne University Gallery and
	Australian Galleries, Melbourne and Sydney. She
	has been included in group exhibitions at the
	National Gallery of Victoria, Mildura Sculpture
	Triennials,Art Gallery of New South VVales,
	University of Melbourne, La Trobe University
	and the Museum of Modern Art at Heide. Her
	works have been included in touring exhibitions
	throughout Australia and New Zealand.

	She has undertaken many very substantial
	sculptural commissions including lCl, Melbourne,
	the University of Melbourne, the Arts
	Centre of Victoria, Australian National
	University, Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne, BHP
	Laboratories, Melbourne, the University of
	Queensland, and the RAAF Memorial,Anzac
	Parade, Canberra.

	She is represented in most state gallery
	collections around Australia, Artbank,
	University of Western Australia, Australian
	Embassy Collection,Washington, USA, Royal
	Melbourne Institute of Technology, Regent
	Hotel, Melbourne, Parliament House, Canberra.

	Inge King is represented by Australian Galleries,

    STEPHEN McCARTHY

	Born in Melbourne in 1954. He studied
	painting at the Royal Melbourne Institute of
	Technology and the Victorian College of the
	Arts, Melbourne. Over the last twelve years he
	has worked and exhibited in both Amsterdam
	and Melbourne.

	He has held solo exhibitions with Roar Studios,
	Melbourne, Tramlin Begeerte, Amsterdam,
	Reconnaissance, Melbourne, Coventry Gallery,
	Sydney, Suzanne Biederberg Gallery, Amsterdam,
	Galerie Fruit, Amsterdam, and Michael Wardell
	Gallery, Melbourne.

	Group exhibitions have been held at Roar
	Studios, Melbourne, National Gallery of Australia,
	National Gallery ofYictoria, Museum of Modern
	Art at Heide, Galerie Boomerang, Amsterdam,
	Kunstbank, Amsterdam, Meridian Gallery,
	Melbourne, La Trobe University Art Museum,
	Wan Fung Gallery Imperial Archives, Beijing, and
	Michael Wardell Gallery, Melbourne.

	He has worked on mural projects in Melbourne
	and Amsterdam and has works in public collec-
	tions including National Gallery of Australia,

	Art at Heide,Artbank,Witte Rues, Amsterdam.

    JON PLAPP

	Born in Melbourne in 1938 and studied at
	the University of Melbourne and VVashington
	University, St Louis, USA. He lived in Toronto,
	Canada, from 1968 until 1977 and currently
	lives in Sydney.

	He has held solo exhibitions at Vvatters
	Gallery, Sydney, Melbourne University Gallery,
	Klonaridis Inc. Toronto, Canada, Milburn and
	Arte, Brisbane, Charles Nod rum Gallery,
	Melbourne, Devonport Regional Art Gallery
	and Burnie Regional Art Gallery.

	His work has been represented in group
	exhibitions at the Art Gallery of New South
	Vvales, New England Regional Art Museum,
	Albury Regional Arts Centre, Newcastle Regional
	Art Gallery, Campbelltown City Gallery,

    STEPHEN  WICKHAM

	Born in Melbourne in 1950 and studied at
	Monash University, Melbourne University and
	the Victorian College of the Arts. He currently
	teaches Art History, Painting and Photography
	at Box Hill Institute of TAPE.
	
	His artistic output includes painting, print-
	making and photography.

	He has held a number of solo exhibitions
	since 1982 at Queensland College of Arts,
	Monash University Gippsland Campus,Australian
	Centre for Photography, Sydney, Powell Street
	Gallery, Melbourne,William Mora Gallery,
	Melbourne, and Stephen McLaughlan Gallery,
	Melbourne.
